About The Role
As a Technical Architect, you will serve as the crucial bridge between business and engineering teams. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners (PO), and the Product Strategy Lead to ensure that our platform’s technical design aligns with both the product’s functionality and the domain-specific needs of industrial procurement. Developing a deep understanding of Sourcing Value’s product features and the raw material procurement domain will be essential for making informed architectural decisions.
In this hands-on role, you will guide high-level architecture decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and security. Senior IC role focused on architectural leadership and technical excellence (no line management). You will remain deeply involved in the technical implementation, collaborating with stakeholders to translate business use cases into architectural frameworks and detailed technical specifications for the engineering team to execute.
Responsibilities
- Business → Architecture: Turn epics/use cases into target architectures, HLD/LLD, and ADRs/RFCs; facilitate design workshops with BA/PO/CPO.
- System Design: Define service boundaries, REST APIs, data models, and deployment patterns for a cloud‑native microservices platform.
- Non‑Functionals: Set guardrails for scalability, availability/reliability, security, performance, and cost; align SLO/SLA and observability with DevOps.
- Integrations & Tooling: Evaluate 3rd‑party tools/services for data, performance, security, and governance; recommend fit‑for‑purpose options.
- Delivery Support: Lead critical design/code reviews; prototype where valuable; troubleshoot system‑level integration/performance issues.
- Planning & Risk: Provide sizing, impact, dependencies, and risk mitigation for roadmap items; prevent technical debt via early trade‑off calls.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Keep product, engineering, and CS/Sales aligned on client scenarios and integration constraints; publish concise ADRs/RFCs and Confluence updates.
