Minimum qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or related field
  • 4 years of experience in CI/CD tools (GitHub and Actions, Jenkins, GitLab etc.) and infrastructure automation
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
  • Experience with Relational Database Systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server etc.)
  • Experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, Cloud Map, EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, Route53, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Experience with containerized systems and experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Terraform, etc.)
  • Experience with APM tools (Splunk, New Relic, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Development experience with Java and related tech stack (Spring, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Shell scripting
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with In-Memory Cache Systems (Hazelcast, Redis, Memcached etc.)
  • Experience with NoSQL Databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.)
About The Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall health of the Sourcing Value product and its operating environments while interacting with rest of the engineering team members to design and deliver high performance and stability. You will apply your cloud and CI/CD skills working with cloud-based & on-prem resources to define standards and processes for the development and deployment of scalable, reliable applications. You will also be responsible for suggesting innovative solutions and carrying out proof of concepts such as automation of processes and improving integration points

Responsibilities
  • Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture
  • Design and implementation of cloud-based services running on cloud infrastructure and ensure that they meet the business objectives and adhere to service level agreements (SLA)
  • Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Investigate new techniques, tools, methods that might increase efficiency among development teams, as well as leading execution processes of topics evaluated & planned for roll-out
  • Collaborate with other technical leaders and business stakeholders to align all constraints and come up with solutions regarding project/product/initiative outputs
  • Perform pre-sales consultancy by supporting status quo in client meetings, help the client decide the solutions & service in alignment with expectations, help Account, New Business & Engineering stakeholders to define strategy & offerings 
  • Be accountable for the reliability and security of cloud infrastructure and services
  • Provide visibility of performance, cost, and the security of cloud infrastructure and services
  • Drive continuous improvement, continuous delivery, and lean practices within the cloud team
  • Keep up to date on modern technologies and trends and advocate for their inclusion within products when it makes sense
  • Identify emerging technology solutions that reduce cost, increase efficiencies, enhance capabilities, reduce risk, and improve security
  • Ensure that all cloud technology applications create a positive customer experience
